Having grown up in the Bavarian Alps close to the Austrian border, Tristan Berger has a natural affinity to all mountainous regions – especially to Tirol, where the people are rough around the edges but also hardworking and fun-loving, where they’re stubborn but also clever and resourceful. These traits remind the author and dramatist of his fellow Bavarians.
