The Gasthof Walzl is proud to source its produce from local farmers. The cheese, for example, come from the Hofmolkerei in Axams, while meat is provided by farmers and hunters based in Ellbögen – juicy steaks and, in the season, a selection of game. The Falstaff restaurant guide is a big fan, especially of the children's menu where options are much more varied and healthy than the standard fare. Last but certainly not least there is a large outdoor play area and games room for youngsters.

The sweet crème fraîche tart follows spaghetti with vegetable sauce or Tirolean specialities such as Gröstl. The potatoes for the Gröstl, as with almost all ingredients, come either from local producers of Hotel Maria Theresia's own farm. In the huge garden, visitors stroll between idyllic flower beds, blooming roses and carefully crafted box trees. However, children will have no time for the flowers and trees once they discover the large playground with slides, swings and a play tower.

The Gasthaus Kaiserhaus takes its name from the fact that it is located in a building used in the past by Emperor ("Kaiser" in German) Franz Josef as a hunting lodge.
