Arlberger Wadlbeisser Long Route

Arlberger Wadlbeisser Long Route

Description

ARLBERGER WADLBEISSER – Long route
13,5 kilometres
700 metres in altitude
24 obstacles

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. And only the toughest come to the Arlberger Wadlbeisser. Are you up for this? A long or shorter distance with 24 or 15 obstacles is waiting to be conquered by you.

Tension mounts even before the start line. You enter the starting area and are motivated by cool sounds and a professional trainer in front of St. Anton’s tourist information offices. Your pulse quickens. Ten minutes to go. One more minute. Five, four, three, two, one ... run! You’re off. It all kicks off with an uphill climb: via the Rendlbahn to Bifangalm. Then along Antoniusweg Trail to Wertstoffhof Farm, past the football pitch, Nassereinbahn cable car and along the Kunstmeile - Art Mile to Griesplatz in the middle of the village. You give everything you’ve got! As does the DJ and commentator, who cheer you on loudly together with the fans. Keep going! Via the Arlberg WellCom Hall to the finish area of the 2001 World Ski Championships. Via the WellCom Hall Roof from there to the Ski Centre and on to the Museum.

The short and long routes separate at the Museum. Are your calves already on fire?
