Because of its many playgrounds and family-friendly themed trails, for example. Or because of the treasure hunt at 3,000 metres above sea level, where children are motivated to hike along the way. There is also the warmest swimming lake in the Alps and a climate so mild that the village of Oetz is also known as the "Merano of the North". And because Ötzi once passed through here, today the whole family can immerse themselves in Stone Age life in the Ötzi village. And the older children? There's plenty of action for them at Area47, rafting and the high ropes course. The Ötztal is also a playground for alpine sports.
Further information about the region and the family-friendly offers - such as the weekly children's and youth programme - can be found on the official website of the tourism association.
