Description

The starting point is the car park at Regio-Tech Hochfilzen. Cross the small bridge at the car park and follow the winter hiking trail on the right. Passing the buildings of the RHI plant, the trail soon leads across open meadows along the high moor. In summer, this raised bog is an important retreat for numerous bird species. Soon you reach the Grießensee lake and walk on to the hamlet of Grießen, which belongs to Leogang and the province of Salzburg. The best way to return is to take the post bus or ski bus to Hochfilzen.

Alternative: If you walk from the car park to the lake Grießensee and back again, you cover a total of 3 km and need about 45 minutes.
