640 vertical meters in winter steeply uphill through rough terrain for a delicious Kaiserschmarrn? Sounds like a perfect deal to us. For you too? Then let's get going.
From the village center in Rinnen, head towards "alte Säge". After the bridge, you come to a forest path that eventually leads to the trail. Climbing steadily, you walk through the forest and can always enjoy the view of the Hönig. At 1,694 meters, you reach the Ehenbichler Alm, which is famous for its homemade Kaiserschmarrn pancakes. From up there, you have a great view of the Abendspitze, the Galtjoch and even the Zugspitze. The way back follows the same route. As the mountain hiking trail also has off-grid sections, we strongly recommend good footwear and hiking poles.
The hike starts in the center of Rinnen. The path leads in the direction of "Alte Säge" and then through the forest up to the Ehenbichler Alm at 1694m. At the top, you will be rewarded with a great view and fantastic Tyrolean delicacies. The same path leads you back to the starting point.
