An idyllic, quiet winter hike at the foot of the Buchensteinwand along the Buchensteinwand circular trail. From the sunny village center you walk through the forest to above the hamlet of Vornbichl, where you reach settlement area again. Most of this tour can be done with snowshoes.

Description

From the village center (parish church) in the direction of the elementary school. Cross the pedestrian crossing to the other side of the road and walk downhill at the Elisabeth guesthouse in the direction of the Sonnenloipe parking lot. Follow the winter hiking trail uphill in the direction of Fieberbrunn. Via the Buchensteinwand circular trail you reach the hamlet of Vornbichl in Fieberbrunn. Follow the road down to Rosenegg. Return comfortably by bus from the Rosenegg bus stop in front of the Millinger Painting Shop. Bus free of charge with guest card.

Tip: from the parking lot Sonnenloipe in St. Jakob to the hamlet Vornbichl the tour is wonderful to walk with snowshoes!
