Panoramic winter hike with aperiopdic mountain lake on the way and delicious hut stop in Buchen.
The hiking route from Mösern to Buchen starts directly from parking lot P1 at Seewaldalm on Möserer Landesstraße and offers impressive views of the Inn Valley, snow-covered forests, a seasonal mountain lake, and a delicious stop at the Ropferstub’m in Buchen.
At the start point, parking lot P1, the path begins through a short forest section towards Albrecht-Dürer-Weg. This leads across the Möserer Seestraße to Broch-Weg, where you’ll reach the Peace Bell, the largest free-standing bell in the Alpine region. It's especially impressive to be here at 17.00 to experience the powerful ringing. This symbol of peace in the Alpine countries also offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Inn Valley and the surrounding mountains.
The Broch-Weg continues straight on and leads over a small parking area to the Pirschsteig (Trail No. 2), which winds through the snowy Mühlwald forest to the trail junction at Lottensee, a seasonal lake that may appear in spring. You can take a right turn to walk around the lake and enjoy a small refreshment at the traditional Lottenseehütte.
Otherwise (or afterwards), at the junction, the hike continues via Trail No. 27 through a lighter wooded area. A left curve brings you quickly into the final panoramic loop through the Ropferswald forest, leading into Buchen. The hike finishes with a well-earned break at the Ropferstub’m (1,200 m), where you can relax on the sun terrace with a view of the Hohe Munde, or warm up inside the cozy wooden room with homemade specialties and friendly company. The return journey follows the same route back to the starting point.
