Winter hike Stage 2: From Leutasch to Mösern – Tyrol’s 1. Winter Multi-day Hike

The second day’s section begins directly at the end point of the first stage. From the music pavilion in Leutasch, head back to the main road and follow the sidewalk on the right until the Kreith bus stop. From here, go slightly right a few meters further to the base station of the Katzenkopf lift. Pass the former restaurant Kreithalm on the left, then follow the edge of the forest on the right and continue through the woods along path no. 1 towards Fludertal. A little later, the path turns right onto path no. 3 into Fludertal.

Continue following the path until you reach an open clearing at the Wildmoosalm after about an hour. Just before the Alm, the path turns right into the forest and gently ascends. After some time, you’ll come to an intersection, where you keep to the right towards the Ferienheim Wildmoos (not serviced).

Pass the holiday home and continue straight towards Lottensee. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left at the signpost and you'll reach the Lottenseehütte. After an optional stop, head back along the forest road to the left (passing the parking lot on the right). After some time, you'll return to the intersection near the Ferienheim Wildmoos. This time, turn right and head back towards the Wildmoosalm. Once again, turn right along path no. 2, and then at the intersection, take path no. 60 towards Mösern. Just after the bus stop, turn and follow the signs towards Mösern.

After nearly two kilometers, turn left at the crossroads and shortly after, turn right, where you’ll soon see Möserer See in its winter beauty. After an optional stop at Möserer Seestub’n, circle the lake on the right-hand side and continue straight at the southern end towards Mösern. Upon reaching the paved road, you’ll see the next highlight on the right: the Peace Bell of the Alpine Region, a must-see even in winter! Afterward, follow Broch-Weg and Möserer Dorfstraße to the Mösern Information Office, the end of this stage, or to your booked accommodation.
