Route: Hochpillberg, Weg der Sinne - Naunz Niederleger - Galtererweg - Loasweg
Route description: At the Hochpillberg car park, take the path into the forest and continue in the direction of east-south-east along the signposted "Weg der Sinne". As soon as the path leads into the open countryside, follow the road slightly uphill to the farms and stables of Naunz Niederleger (highest point). From there follow the forest path "Galtererweg" in a southerly direction almost at the same altitude. Attention: the road uphill leads to Naunz Hochleger. At the beginning there is a wonderful view of the Karwendel and the Inntal valley. Then past a hunter's high seat through ever denser tree growth and shortly before the confluence with the Loasweg (toboggan run) the trail leads through game feeding. The crossing is coordinated with hunting and forestry, but we would still ask you to follow some tips on how to behave: Avoid noise, cross quickly and do not stop, do not touch anything. The last part of the way runs up the Loasweg until after a few curves the Alpengasthof Loas becomes visible.
Attention: in the last section avalanche danger! Please obtain information before you set off.
Alternative route: A few metres below the Loasweg, over a distance of approx. 500 m, there is a trail which leads back to the
leads to the Loasweg.
Descent: Now you can comfortably hike down over the Loasweg. You can go back to the "Weg der Sinne" half way or follow the Loasweg back to the parking lot.
