Description

Start your winter hike at the majestic Starkenberg Castle. The path first leads you through a snow-covered avenue of old chestnut trees, their branches glistening mysteriously under the weight of the snow. Enjoy the magical view of the wintry Gurgltal valley as you walk along the snow-covered path. The clear air and the silence of nature emphasize the beauty of the winter landscape. The path leads you gently towards Starkenbergersee. This is nestled among snow-covered trees, creating a picturesque setting. The lake itself rests in a quiet winter idyll. On the way back via the Prantlsteig trail, enjoy the silence, the biting cold and the glistening blanket of snow create a unique atmosphere. After you have explored the Prantlsteig trail, return to Starkenberg Castle. Take the opportunity to admire the castle and reward yourself with a beer brewed by the castle itself.
