Winter hike Along the Tux river from Tux-Vorderlanersbach to Hintertux

Description

Start in Hintertux at the end of the valley - Gletscherbahn parking lot: At the Hotel Neu-Hintertux, trail no. 11 leads above Hintertux (ATTENTION! Avalanche danger closure signs must be strictly followed!), through the tunnel of the avalanche dam and above the Hotel Hohenhaus (house no. 774) out of the valley to the trail junction where the toboggan run (trail no. 17) of the Bichlalm ends. Descend to the right and cross the road L 6; continue on path no. 12 (Kreuzweg) to Madseit. Keep going out of the valley, past the Alpinhotel Berghaus (house no. 711), turn right after the Hotel Adler Inn (house no. 690), cross the "Gei(oa)sbrücke" and follow trail no. 10 out of the valley to Juns. In Juns, after the alpine school RocknSnow, keep right (slightly uphill). After the Klausboden inn, follow the forest path above the cross-country ski trail to Tux-Lanersbach. Descend after house no. 509 to the village center or continue to Tux-Vorderlanersbach. Walk over the Test bridge. Opposite the small chapel in Tux-Vorderlanersbach the winter hike ends.

VARIANT in Madseit: After the alpine hotel Berghaus (house no. 711) and house no. 701 turn right, follow the road (section of trail no. 12) to the Nösslauhof (house no. 708). Above the residential house, trail no. 10 leads across the fields out of the valley past the Gei(oa)sbrücke bridge.
