Description

One of the Achensee region’s most romantic winter walks leads into the quiet Oberautal valley. The tour starts from the northernmost pier of the Achenseeschifffahrt Scholastika at Lake Achensee. While the lake mirrors the snow-capped peaks and snow crystals sparkle on the shore, you enjoy a leisurely stroll that takes you past the campsite Alpen Caravanpark Achensee towards Oberautal. From the campsite in Achenkirch, it’s only a few kilometres’ walk into the charming valley. With a little luck, you can watch chamois foraging while you enjoy the winter silence. On the return, it’s worth stopping off for coffee and cake or a delicious soup at the Achensee Stüberl directly at the campsite or at the Fischerwirt.
