Discover the 100,000 Lights Trail in the Region Seefeld – a magical hike through beautifully lit nature. Perfect for romantic evenings in Tyrol!
A cozy winter walk around the Pfarrhügel and the Hotel Klosterbräu
The 100.000 Lights Trail offers a unique winter experience, transforming Seefeld’s snowy landscape into a cozy, glowing wonderland. This circular walk combines nature, quiet moments, and softly shimmering light displays—perfect for creating special memories, especially in the evening.
Your journey starts in Seefeld’s town center. During Advent, the beautifully decorated Christmas tree and the twinkling Christmas market set the tone for what’s to come. From here, head left past the parish church toward Pfarrhügel. At the top, follow the loop trail, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Wildsee. Take a moment to pause, soak in the view, and enjoy the peaceful winter night.
The trail then winds gently downhill toward the Seekirchl, whose iconic shape is beautifully lit. During Advent, a large, glowing Advent wreath floats in the water in front of the chapel, adding a festive touch.
You’ll pass the ice-skating and curling rinks and a sledding hill, both illuminated with hundreds of lights. From Pfarrhügel, the cleared path takes you through a small forest section, perfect for a quiet descent.
The route continues to the Olympiabad, where special light installations await in November and December. These creative displays invite you to pause and immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere.
Just past the Olympiabad, near the roundabout, a glowing path leads to Hotel Klosterbräu and its enchanting Garden of Eden, before guiding you back toward Pfarrhügel. Finally, the lights lead you back to the heart of Seefeld, passing St. Oswald’s parish church and returning to the bustling pedestrian zone. If you’re in the mood, extend your walk to the nearby Kurpark and enjoy even more light displays during November and December.
Good to know: Not every part of the path is brightly lit, but that’s part of the charm – a lovely mix of peaceful moments in nature and the creativity of the glowing displays.
Tip: Wear sturdy shoes and take your time to soak in the special atmosphere of this walk. The 100,000 Lights Path is a unique way to make winter evenings in Seefeld unforgettable.
