Winter hikes in Tirol are a great change of pace for children. Snow simply means fun in the fresh air – on foot, with snowshoes or on a toboggan. Our well-prepared trails are safe and enjoyable. It is also important to have place to warm up and recharge your batteries. Many mountain huts and lodges in Tirol are also open in winter – with dumplings, pancakes, etc. the little ones will always enjoy it there. We recommend the hikes to the Wurzbergalm and Vilser Alm as well as the Waldweg Hög forest trail.

Tirolean alpine cuisine is as varied as our mountain landscape – almost always with regional ingredients or home-grown produce. Classics include dumplings in different variations, hot soups with garnish and, of course, the famous Kaiserschmarrn pancakes. Many huts also have a separate children's menu.
