What makes a local mountain special? Exactly, it can be reached directly from the front door. Waidring's local mountain is no exception and is an ideal trail running area both early in the morning and after work.
The Waidring Hausberg trail begins on beautiful meadow paths and then leads uphill over shady and rooty forest trails. The summit of the Hausberg is quickly reached, with views down between the trees to the village and the surrounding mountains. The descent is leisurely along forest paths into the Weißbach gorge, where you can cool your tired feet in the ice-cold mountain water.
Beautiful loop over forest & meadow trails as well as forest roads to the Waidringer Hausberg. From the starting point at the car park (next to the valley station of the drag lift), take the meadow path up to the first fork in the road. Keep going in the direction of Hausberg. After a very direct ascent through the shady forest, you reach the Waidringer Hausberg. Again and again you can enjoy wonderful views of the village and the surrounding mountains. From the summit, head downhill towards the Krinnsattel and Talsenalm (not managed) and into the magnificent Weißbachschlucht gorge. Along the stream you always have the opportunity to refresh tired calves. Turn left before the main road and follow the hiking trail back to the starting point.
