Description

A sunny circuit for beginners that crosses the Igler Wiesen meadows and passes the village centre of Vill.

The starting point of the loop is at the former valley station of the Patscherkofel cable car. The route immediately descends along a service road parallel to Bilgeristrasse. Pass the Sporthotel and run straight on into Eichlerstraße and after about 100m at the Kneipp facility turn east into Obexerstraße (always on asphalt). You pass the Igls railway station and after the last residential buildings turn left into the Bachgangweg (gravel) into the open field. This is the easternmost point of the trail. Continue slightly downhill and after a 90° bend always follow the same path straight ahead in a westerly direction to the Turmbichl inn and the Igler Straße (asphalt). Cross this road and turn left into Viller Dorfstraße. Continue along Handlhofweg for a short distance and turn left at the first opportunity. Heading south, you reach the junction with Brunnenweg on the left (gravel). Follow Brunnenweg in an easterly direction to its end (meadow path & asphalt), then turn 90° left into Fernkreuzweg (from here to the end asphalt), follow Fernkreuzweg to Igler Straße. Cross it and continue straight ahead through Habichtstraße. After approx. 200m, turn right into Serlesweg, which after a 90° left-hand bend leads back into Eichlerstraße. Turn right there and continue straight on past the Kneipp facility and Sporthotel back to the "Alte Talstation".
