Trails The Mittelstation Trail guarantees pure fun. A technically easy but exciting loop at the foot of the Kitzbüheler Horn. A fantastic route, especially in the evening.
Start at the Hornbahn valley station and head towards "Hagstein." After about 300 meters on asphalt, turn right onto a meadow trail above Kitzbühel, following it to "Unterleitenhof." From there, alternate between asphalt and gravel roads until reaching an old farm, where you turn left, then right, following the signs to "Hagstein."
The trail ascends through the forest, making it ideal for warm days. Just before reaching "Hagstein," turn towards the mid-station. Continue uphill on a trail, with only a short gravel road section interrupting your rhythm, until arriving at a meadow above Kitzbühel, perfect for enjoying a sunset. Proceed to the mid-station, then a challenging downhill trail leads back to the starting point at the Hornbahn.
This is a must-run loop in Kitzbühel.
