Description

You can get lost several times and take a wrong turn once, but you usually quickly come to a dead end and just walk the few meters back. So pack a map and just go for it. Start is the parking lot in Trins/Leiten. It goes west on a partly paved forest road and you turn left after a short distance on a smaller trail (direction St. Barbara Chapel). Shortly after the chapel, turn half-left again towards the Sarnthein waterfalls.

After the waterfall at a fork keep left uphill (Rg. Gschnitz, Lazauneben) and always follow the trail until you reach a forest road, continue to the right. At a hairpin bend continue straight ahead. The path narrows again after 300 m to a trail.

At an old lime kiln (worth a visit) the trail splits into an upper and lower jubilee trail, both directions are possible. I like to turn right here onto the upper trail. The path is sometimes difficult, but with a little feeling you will reach your goal. Small wrong ways end quickly in the pathless. It is hardly possible to get lost. The paths are narrow and rooty, careful walking is required. After about 2 km you come back to a forest road, which descends in serpentines. It is also possible to meet a smaller path about 800 m earlier, this can also be walked in a westerly direction and then also meets the serpentines. At about 1260 m a small trail branches off to the left (easy to miss, signs on the right side of the trail). From there always follow the trail, follow the signs to Trins! Via the Sarnthein waterfall back to the parking lot.
