Arrival by public transport
From Steinach station take the bus (4146) to Gschnitz and get off at the bus stop "Gschnitz Kirchplatz".
Here you can push, 1100 metres of altitude lactate production, then relax on the Jubiläumssteig, chamois sighting almost guaranteed! 2.5 km warm-up run to Gasthof Feuerstein, then steep uphill over 1100 m altitude difference to the Innsbrucker Hütte, here you can take the FKT (fastest known time). From there flowing over the beautiful Jubiläumssteig back into the valley directly to the starting point. If you want more: "On the wings of the hawk".
Car park 500m after the village church in Gschnitz down the valley on the right-hand side (free of charge). From there, cross the road and the Gschnitzbach stream to the south and after 300m turn right onto the forest road to the west. Follow this forest road, after approx. another kilometre you head back towards the road and the Gschnitzbach for a few metres downhill. At the road, cross the Gschnitzbach again to its north side and immediately turn left again. Continue slightly uphill for 1 km on the forest road and then take a sharp right uphill to the Innsbrucker Hütte. At about 2000m above sea level, you will cross a shoulder onto a flatter passage, from where you can already see the destination, the Innsbrucker Hütte.
Please take your time at the Innsbrucker Hütte and then make a U-turn, about 200m back, but then continue straight ahead (do not turn steeply downhill to the right again) on the Jubiläumssteig. The Jubiläumssteig is made for trail runners and initially leads slightly downhill to the south of the limestone wall and then turns steeper towards the south. The trail leads back to the car park.
