Description

This short but extremely steep trail running route demands strength, technique and endurance - a real vertical up experience!

The tour starts at the valley station of the Gaisberg lift in Kirchberg. From here, the trail climbs steeply uphill, sometimes directly under the lift track. The trail first leads past the Kirchanger chapel on the left and then follows a track uphill.

It gets really steep again at the Waldhofer farm! This is where the most challenging section begins, where your thighs start to burn. After a short section parallel to the Gaisberg bike trail, you will reach the Gaisbergstüberl - the well-deserved destination of this vertical run.

Tip: After the energy-sapping ascent, it's worth stopping off at the Gaisbergstüberl before returning to the valley along the same route or via an alternative route.
