Arrival by public transport
From Steinach train station take the bus (4146) to Gschnitz and get off at the Gasthaus Feuerstein stop.
Beautiful ascent through a rustic forest to the Gargglerin with 360° panorama. Cool even on sunny days due to the forest. Perfect view of Tribulaune and Habicht from the Gargglerin, then flowing downhill with trail guarantee via the Tribulaunhütte.
From the car park, follow the tarred road in the direction of Laponesalm. After approx. 700m, at the elevated tank, turn half-left and after 50m follow the sign towards Gargglerin. Then follow through the forest and then mountain meadows until you reach the saddle to the Sandestal. Here, turn left and climb the last 150 metres to Gargglerin.
Then return to the Scharte and continue south along the north faces of the Pflerscher and Gschnitzer Tribulaun to the hut. From the hut, return to the Gschnitztal valley on the trail on the orthographically right side of the valley.
