We are really proud of these mountains! The Kalkkögel are often referred to as the "Dolomites of the North" due to their majestic shapes. And right at their foot stands the rustic Kemater Alm, which welcomes tobogganists and ski tourers in winter.
Seeing the Kalkkögel up close is simply something very special and the toboggan trip to the Kemater Alm promises this experience. Although the toboggan run itself has few bends, it is still very fast.
The toboggan tour starts in Grinzens at the Grinzens bus stop at the Kemater Alm junction. The ascent leads along a wide, well-prepared forest road with a gentle incline. After around 2 hours, you reach the Kemater Alm, which is surrounded by the impressive backdrop of the Kalkkögel mountains.
The Kemater Alm invites you to take a cosy break with Tyrolean delicacies. Please note: The Alm is closed on Mondays. Toboggan hire is available directly on site.
The 6 km long toboggan run is almost straight with only a few gentle bends, making it particularly family-friendly and easy to navigate. Thanks to the wide track, it is perfect for leisurely tobogganing without any technical challenges.
Please note: The toboggan run is only open in good snow conditions.
