Pfrillsee in Kufstein - enchanting and magical forest

The shadows of the trees create gentle patterns that decorate the glittering water surface. The border between the forest and the lake almost disappears. The surrounding hilltops seem to hug the lake protectively. Green in all its shades. A glittering idly, surrounded by thick Tyrolean forests. The Pfrillsee is the smallest of the four lakes around the Thierberg and impresses with a wonderful view of the fortress town of Kufstein.

Fantastic view
Located 100 meters over Kufstein, the thick forest on the southern side of Pfrillsee opens up and gives an excellent view of the fortress city. Once again, the perfect mixture of urban flair and proximity to nature in the Kufstein region is fascinating. The small forest lake is particularly popular with hikers. The Pfrillsee is part of the 4-lake hike. It starts from the right-hand shore of Hechtsee. This idyllic hike leads to Egelsee, then past Längsee to Pfrillsee. The Pfrillsee is the last stage of the hike and is ideal for a rest or for cooling off.
