Description

The lake at Mösern, the Möserer See, is freely accessible to the public and lies at 1,295 m above sea level, just a short walk from the village. The water can reach 25° in summer and it is said to be one of the warmest natural bathing lakes in Tyrol.

The lake is particularly popular in the summer months. It is located in the middle of a picturesque conservation area and the mighty fir trees all around provide welcome shade for the many guests and locals who meet there to go swimming and to relax.

Out and about in ‘Mother Nature’
There are lots of hiking possibilities close by to entice you into action. From the wide path around the lake with benches where you can sit back and enjoy the natural surroundings, to the more demanding hike up to the Brunschkopf. Your efforts will be well-rewarded once you are there and can take in the magnificent view over the whole plateau. You can get to the Möserer See from Seefeld in about an hour via an easy walking trail.

For children
There is a 1,500 m² children’s adventure playground in a nicy shady spot close to the lake. There are slides, swings and various climbing and balancing frames to encourage agility and mobility and to test your reaction and balancing skills in a fun and entertaining way.

A winter adventure
The Möserer See is magical in winter too. The snow-covered trees along the promenade and the frozen water of the lake create a perfect picture-postcard winter scene and when the snow crystals glisten under the winter sun and a gentle breeze blows through the trees, you just have to smile and feel happy. You can even go ice-skating at weekends when the ice cover is thick enough.

The Möserer Seestub’n lies on the banks of this natural gem and overlooks the whole lake. This rustic-style restaurant has a pleasant sun terrace where guests can sit in summer and in winter while enjoying some tasty treats.
