Due to its proximity to the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck, this entertaining piste tour is also popular with locals: from the valley station of the Muttereralmbahn in Mutters, specially created ascent tracks lead around 670 meters up to the ski area's namesake - the Mutterer Alm.
From the valley station of the Muttereralmbahn in Mutters, specially created ascent tracks lead around 670 meters up to the ski area's namesake - the Mutterer Alm. On the right-hand side of the piste, you pass the middle station and reach the mountain station at 1,600 meters above sea level. This is also where the Mutterer Alm mountain restaurant is located, where you can take a culinary break. Although the destination of the tour is not that far away, the steep ascent still requires strength and fitness. If you wish, you can also extend the tour to the mountain station of the Pfriemesköpfl chairlift at around 1,800 meters above sea level.
