It can't be steep enough? On the Hafelekar, just 20 minutes from Innsbruck, sporty ski and snowboard experts can burn off some energy.
Some cities have their own adventure playground, Innsbruck has its own city ski area. A few quick turns on the Seegrube after work - that's what winter sports enthusiasts in Innsbruck love about their city. It only takes 20 minutes to get from the city center to the small ski area at the top of the Nordkette.
The two cable cars take you up to the Hafelekar at 2,260 meters above sea level. With a fantastic view over the city and across the Brenner Pass, adrenaline addicts can plunge down the Karrinne - one of the steepest ski routes in Europe with a gradient of 70 percent. The difficult descent is reserved for absolute experts. In general, it is mainly advanced skiers who can be found in the ski area. Most of the slopes are marked in red, only the Seegrube has a kids' arena with a magic carpet, snow hill and childcare.
Freeriders can be seen sweeping down the powder slopes of the Hafelekar early in the morning. The Skylinepark on the Seegrube, on the other hand, is a popular meeting place for snowboarders. It is the only fun park in the world that can call itself an Incity Snowpark. In the evenings, you can party in the Cloud 9 Igloo Bar, whose parties are legendary. You can eat well in the Seegrube restaurant with its spectacular view over the Inn Valley.
