If you like it cozy, Serles is the right place for you: the ski area near Mieders also offers great views.
Right at the entrance to the Stubaital lies the small ski area on the slopes of the imposing, 2,717-metre-high Serles. The panoramic mountain, once dubbed the "high altar of Tyrol" by Goethe, is clearly visible from nearby Innsbruck as a pointed peak. The Serlesbahnen ski area extends up to an altitude of 1,750 meters and is particularly popular with families and leisure skiers. This is because it is much quieter here than in the big ski circuses. In the beginners' area at the valley station, inexperienced skiers can test themselves, while fans of open terrain start their ski tours further up and the slopes gain their charm from the wooded location. To top it all off, there is a wonderful panoramic view that stretches all the way to Innsbruck and the Karwendel mountains beyond.
