Description

The figure 78 percent actually says it all. But anyone standing at the top of the infamous Harakiri slope quickly realizes that its gradient in reality is much more dramatic than the number suggests. The slope is one of the steepest in the whole of Austria - and one of the biggest attractions in the Mayrhofen ski resort. However, the arena in the rear Zillertal valley doesn't just offer thrilling challenges for daredevils. Beginners, families and leisure skiers will also find what they need for a fulfilling day's skiing. The selection of slopes of all levels up to an altitude of 2,500 meters is impressive.

Winter sports enthusiasts who want to take it easy will find a small selection of mostly beginner-friendly carving slopes on the Ahorn, the FamilyPark with the FunRide Ahorn and the Albert Adler Tour as well as a 5.5 km long valley run and tobogganing fun with the "Pistenböcken". The largest part of the ski area, on the other hand, is spread around the Penken action mountain and the neighboring Rastkogel and Eggalm. Alongside the Harakiri, the PenkenPark is the big highlight here. Five different areas make the hearts of snowboarders and freeskiers beat faster, regardless of skill level. Those who love speed can choose between three speed runs in the Unterberg racing paradise.
