The beginner-friendly Ehrwalder Alm ski and snowboard area is nestled between the Wetterstein mountains and the Mieminger Kette. At an altitude of 1,100 to 1,923 meters above sea level, there is a small network of slopes, mainly easy, but also some red and black runs. The winter sports area, most of which can also be covered in artificial snow, is part of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.
Most of the pistes are wide and flat, allowing families, beginners and all those who are skiing for the first time to try out their first turns without any risks. A practice area with magic carpets and ski carousels also promises fun for the youngest, and the ski kindergarten in the Tirolerhaus looks after the children of parents who want to hit the slopes on their own.
Snowboarders and freestylers - beginners and pros alike - fly over the numerous obstacles in the centrally located slope, only to be pulled back up again by the Klämmli lift. The Funslope provides an action-packed descent. Those with plenty of skiing experience should not miss the black panoramic slope from the Issentalkopf. Several huts and mountain restaurants with large sun terraces invite hungry winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy hearty Tyrolean specialties.
Families should not miss out on a visit to the Familypark: Here, wide boxes and small jumps are available for first attempts at skiing, and you should also pay a visit to DIDI's snow playground: This is a very special kind of adventure playground right next to the Tirolerhaus. There are slides, a crawling tube and a snowball wall to discover.
