Via Ferrate Stuibenfall | Umhausen

open
Umhausen / Stubaier Alpen
Difficulty ratings: medium
Route length: 1.5 km
Duration: 4:00 h

The water rushes, the carabiner clicks, the heart leaps. Climbing at the Stuibenfall in Ötztal is particularly enjoyable in midsummer, as the fine mist in the air always provides a cooling effect.

Tour character

Extraordinary via ferrata constructed directly above and around Tyrol's largest waterfall, the 159-metre-high Stuibenfall. A varied route with rope bridges, climbing sections in the forest, a viewing platform, an intersection and a key section on outward-pushing rock that requires strength and courage. Shortly before this is a traverse with difficulty level C, the rest is somewhat less demanding. Lots of footholds for children aged 10 and over (min. 1.40 meters) and beginners as well as an easy variation at the end. However, previous experience is necessary.
