Description

Inviting place to stop at the Almajurjoch lookout point
German Alpine Club Hut, Section Leutkirch

What a beautiful day in the mountains: to start with you can enjoy the stunning peaks of the Lechtal Valley and the profusion of vibrant, alpine plants, before the welcoming blue and yellow shutters of the Leutkircher Hütte entice you over. This is a great place to stop, as it is well known for its excellent cuisine. A member of the "So schmecken die Berge" ("That’s what mountains taste like") campaign, meals are created using delicious, local produce. The hut has also received the “Eco label” award as proof that it is managed according to ecological guidelines. The lodgings are pleasantly furnished and service is exemplary. You can safely take their tongue in cheek slogan "Look in, but not past!" seriously here. The Leutkircher Hütte is on the Eagle Walk and the Lech Valley High Trail, which leads from Zürs to Imst.

From St. Anton (3 to 3.5 hours); from the top station of the Kapall-Bahn lifts (1.5 hours); from Pettneu (4 hours); from Kaisers in Lechtal (from the entrance to the Almajurtal Valley 3.5 hours, via the Kaiserbachtal Valley 4 hours); with the Lech-Rüfikopf cable car, via the Stuttgarter Hütte (5 hours).
