Built in 1905 and extensively renovated since then, the Ansbacher Hütte stands in a beautifully scenic position at the Flarschjoch ridge on the south-eastern slopes of the Samspitze peak. If offers fabulous views of the Stanzer Valley and the Verwall Mountains. Surrounded by stunningly beautiful natural landscapes, special attention is paid to environment protection here. A power plant running on vegetable oil combined with solar panels help keep energy costs to a minimum and also mean that mountaineers can enjoy a warm shower with a clear conscience. Excellent food is served at the Ansbacher Hütte, where you can "taste the mountains" in the form of delicious meals created using local produce. We particularly recommend the “Kaiserschmarrn”, a chopped pancake dish sprinkled with icing sugar and served with apple sauce. Well known surrounding mountains: Samspitze, Stierkopf, Vorderseespitze, Feuerspitze, Wetterspitze, Freispitze.
