Mountain railway Kirchenkarbahn I + II

The bottom station of the Kirchenkarbahn I cable car is integrated into the Top Mountain Crosspoint, a building marking the start of the Timmelsjoch High Mountain Road. It takes just 4:30 minutes to travel on this ten-person gondola up to the mid-way station at 2,620 metres above sea level. There you can hop off and visit the Kirchenkarhütte or continue on using the Kirchenkarbahn II cable car all the way up to the top at 2,839 metres. At the top there is a viewing platform offering a wonderful panorama of the Ötztal Alps and the Stubai Alps as well as the Dolomites over the border in Italy.
