The mighty Kalkkögel mountains, also known as the "Dolomites of the North", form the alpine backdrop to the Axamer Lizum. Guests can reach the top in comfort with two cable cars. In just a few minutes, the new Hoadlbahn cable car covers the 780 vertical meters from the valley station to the mountain station on the sunny Hoadl plateau (2,340 meters). There you can stop for a bite to eat, enjoy the view or start a summit tour. On the opposite side of the valley, the Birgitzköpfl lift takes guests directly to the Birgitzköpflhaus (closed in summer 2023) at 2,035 meters above sea level with a fantastic view of the Kalkkögel and the Inntal valley. Numerous hiking and walking trails lead to alpine pastures, peaks and vantage points.
