Adlerweg stages in East Tyrol

The Hohe Tauern with the largest glaciers in the Eastern Alps and the highest mountains in Austria are a paradise for summiteers. There are a total of around 250 three-thousand metre peaks in East Tyrol, with the Grossglockner towering over all its peers at 3,798 metres.

The East Tyrolean Adlerweg route leads in nine one-day stages from Ströden at the foot of the Großvenediger past the Johannishütte, Eisseehütte, Bonn-Matreier-Hütte, Badener Hütte, Sudetendeutschen Hütte to the Stüdlhütte at the foot of the Großglockner.
