Equipment

Good equipment is essential for your hike. The following items should definitely be in your rucksack: - Food and drink - Functional clothing for rain, wind and cold - A change of clothes - Sun protection - First aid kit - Mobile phone with a full battery (Euro emergency number 112) - Hiking map or GPS - Hiking poles Nevertheless, the following applies: light luggage is also easier to carry, so you should not weigh down your rucksack with unnecessary ballast. In addition, your hiking equipment should of course also be adapted to your particular hiking tour.

Description

The Lechweg trail begins at the rest area by the Lech bridge in Bach. Past the nearby church, the path winds its way up to a small forest clearing with the beautiful Seesumpfkapelle chapel.
As soon as you have passed the hamlet, you should plan a ten-minute detour to the Modertal waterfall. The Lech loop winds its way through the shady forest to the Gibler Alm, a popular hiking destination and ideal place to enjoy a break.
It doesn't take long before a deep and narrow valley opens up, into which you descend along a path. With the Bernhardsbach and Balschtebach streams tumbling down into the valley, this is one of the most attractive sections of this Lech loop. At the end of an ascent, signs point the way to Elbigenalp. The trail takes you above the village, passes through a forest clearing with the Schweineben Alpe (no refreshments available) and rejoins the Lechweg between the Scheidbach stream and the village of Köglen. Elbigenalp is now passed again on the other side of the river,
as well as a rest area with information about the Adler Trail.
