Hut hike: Mayrhofen Europahaus - Gasthaus Steinerkogl

The hike starts at the Europahaus Mayrhofen and takes you through the idyllic Scheuling Forest along the "Easy Trail" to the forest cross. From there, follow Forest Path No. 5 gently up to the Gasthaus Steinerkogl, 1.269 m, passing the charming Brandberg Chapel along the way. An ideal tour for a relaxed time in nature!

Description

Your hike begins at the Europahaus Mayrhofen. You stroll leisurely past the Hotel Pramstraller and walk towards Breitlahneweg, which leads you to the edge of the forest. Once there, you follow a section of the "Easy Trail" that guides you through the idyllic Scheulingwald. On your right, you will see the forest festival grounds, followed by the impressive forest cross. At the cross, you turn left and follow forest path No. 5, which gently winds up to the Gasthaus Steinerkogl, 1.269 m. Along the way, you will also pass the charming Brandberg Chapel, perfect for a relaxing break. For the return journey, simply follow the same path back to the starting point at the Europahaus.
