Zams - Württemberger Haus
****
If the Württemberger Haus wasn't an important stop on the Adlerweg and Lechtaler Höhenweg trails, hut warden Andrea would probably be all alone more often than not. After all, only a few people make the long journey from the valley to the hut. Those who do, hike for hours through a secluded part of the already lonely Lechtal Alps - and usually have the wild rocky peaks and quiet mountain lakes all to themselves. For the hardy, the Württemberger Haus offers an unusual refreshment option: an outdoor rock shower. For the descent of the 3-day tour "Steinseehütte - Württemberger Haus", the route runs in the opposite direction (Württemberger Haus - Zams).
Steep hike along the E5 long-distance hiking trail, past the Jägerhütte and flowering alpine meadows to the Württemberger Haus.
This stage is the third and final stage of the three-day tour "Steinseehütte - Württemberger Haus", where you can once again breathe in the healthy mountain air of the Lechtal Alps. After all, it takes 4.30 hours to walk from Württemberger Haus to the starting point in Zams. But what a great nature experience, because the area around the Zammer Loch, which resembles a ravine, is considered one of the most beautiful high valleys in Europe!
You start at the E5 shuttle car park at the gravel works in Zams. The path leads steeply up to Burschbödele, above the Burschlwand climbing area. The trail, which is part of the E5 long-distance hiking trail, leads along the breathtaking Lochbachschlucht gorge up steep and rocky sections to the Unterlochalm. The romantic spot at the alpine hut (which is open at times) with its springs and small streams invites you to take a short break. At the Jägerhütte, within sight of the alpine hut, the path branches off and leads up to the Württemberger Haus, partly across flowering alpine meadows, following the signposts.
