Description

Departing from the Tourist Information Office in Westendorf, we walk along Schulgasse and follow a meadow path to the district of Bichling.  At the junction at the Schermerhof, the trail takes us uphill to the right.  After a slight incline we branch off to the left after having passed several houses, and walk along this short woodland trail.  Arriving at a gravel path we continue downhill and already we have reached the first station, the fountain.  From this point, there is a fantastic view of Westendorf and the Hohe Salve.  Relax for a while on the loungers until we move on towards the next station.  Here we cross a 20 m long suspended wooden bridge and arrive at the second station, the sand trap. The beautiful view of Westendorf can also be enjoyed from this point as well as another opportunity to relax on the beechwood log alcoves.  Continuing on in the direction of the Alpenrosenbahn gondola station, we arrive at the third station, the water maze. This is the perfect place for a refreshing break. Now it’s just a short hop downhill to the fourth station, a huge sandpit where we can build magnificent castles or climb poles, rocks or the climbing net.  More water fun rounds up the full range of activities for our younger guests.  In just a few more strides we arrive at the lower Alpenrosenbahn gondola station.  From here we enjoy the walk back into the village centre where we once again reach our original departure point.
