Mountain hikes Winter walk at Hüttegg am Weerberg

Weerberg / Tuxer Alpen
Difficulty ratings: easy
Route length: 8.0 km
Duration: 2:50 h

Sometimes the name doesn't make sense to us ... because the hike isn't that short, but the panorama is twice and three times as good. You do need to be a bit fit for the climb - but that won't do the children any harm.

Tour character

Medium-difficulty family winter hike from and to the Hausstatt parking lot. The 7 km route leads along a wide forest path, initially uphill through the forest. After a final steeper ascent, you reach the Hüttegg ski lift mountain station. The reservoir invites you to take a short break with a view of the Inntal valley and the Karwendel mountains from the viewing bench. From here, the hike is initially flat and then leads down the valley back to the starting point.

Description

By car you drive along the main road through Mitterweerberg, passing the village centre and the church with its two steeples until you reach the junction Hausstatt (Zallerstrasse); on the left hand side up the mountain road to the parking lot Hausstatt. From there, continue on foot, following the signs for "Lafasterweg". You hike on a forest road uphill following the signposts. After a short, slightly steeper ascent, you will reach the top station of the Hüttegg ski lift. A wonderful panoramic view rewards for the ascent. The vantage point at the lift and the lake invites for a rest. We continue on the Hochwaldweg until we reach the Nonsweg. From there go down the valley and follow the Nonsweg back to the starting point.
This panoramic hike is a pleasure for the whole family. You can do the hike with the toddlers even, as the path is easily accessible with a stroller.
