Description
The Weißlahnrunde takes you on easy to hike and also for the pram suitable paths across fields, through the woods and to a lake with the beautiful mountain-scenery of the region always in view.
Starting point is the town square of Terfens. Beginning from there you follow the Spitzarche southwards and take a left at the crossing. Following the road you soon reach the lake Weißlahn, which invites you in the summer months if not directly, then maybe after your hike, for a swim. If you're already in need now for a little snack or something to drink, you'll find both at the Fischerhäusl on the northern bank of the lake.
Following the path further, you'll soon reach the edge of the forrest "Terfener Forchat", which lays between the villages Terfens and Vomperbach. It's a real nice source of shade on a hot, bright sunny day. Going on in northward direction you stride through the forrest and also get to know parts of the planetary learning path, the so-called "Planetenlehrpfad", which teaches you lots of interesing things about our solar system.
Almost at the northern end of the forrest, you take a sharp right and follow the path to the south-west exit of the Forchat. Through fields you make your way back to your starting point in Terfens.
You wanna do the tour the other way around and end it with a jump in the lake to cool yourself off? No problem! Just follow the signs the other way around.
