Easy to moderately difficult circular hike for biathlon and sports enthusiasts in Hochfilzen. Only moderate differences in altitude, suitable for families with children. The route leads alternately on asphalt and gravel paths past the biathlon center and the Wiesensee lake as well as to the east side of the Buchensteinwand, where the ascent is moderately steep. There you can stop for refreshments at the Hoametzlhütte. Along the way you will come across 16 interactive stations with puzzle questions for young and old about the sport of biathlon (only 12 stations in winter). Those who successfully complete the puzzle rally will receive a medal. Don't forget your smartphone!

Round 1 (short version): Municipal office - Herrengasse - Warminger Straße - Biathlon stadium - Regiotechstraße - Municipal office. Approx. 5 km and 50 Hm; 1 h walking time; passable with stroller.
Round 2 (entire route): Gemeindeamt - Herrengasse - Tennweg - Hoametzlhütte (alpine hut) - Oberböden - Wiesensee - Schipfl - Warming - Warminger Straße - Biathlon Stadium - Regiotechstraße - train station - Gemeindeamt. Approx. 16 km and 360 Hm; 4h walking time;
Winter: In winter, 12 of 16 stations can be visited. Stations no. 5 Oberböden, no. 7 Rundweg "Schipfl", no. 9 Warmingerstrasse and no. 11 Schüttach-Strasse are closed during the winter months.
By bus: Bus connection from Ellmau / Kitzbühel / St. Johann i.T. / Lofer and within the PillerseeTal region. Bus stop Hochfilzen Gemeindeamt. Bus free of charge with guest card.
By train: free train connection from Wörgl to Hochfilzen (regional trains) with guest card. Hochfilzen train station. Walking time to the first station approx. 5 min.
