Description

Start your tour at the Going center hiking point (former Tourism Info Going; 764 m) and hike along the Auweg. A perfect place to pause – in keeping with our motto: Going strengthens! Here you can listen to the murmur of the Going creek under the shades of the trees.

Arriving at the blattl bridge, underpass the A-Road and continue along the path towards the Wilder Kaiser, keeping in the direction of the Blattl chapel. The small niche chapel with a shingle-covered gable roof dates back to the 18th century – a perfect place to enjoy the piece and quiet.

After a short rest at this little chapel, keep to right and follow the road towards Going. After 100 metres, turn left and hike a short distance past the houses across the meadow and further left a little steeper uphill through the forest. At the top, you are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Wilder Kaiser. The jagged silhouette of the Wilder Kaiser is also symbolised in Going’s coat of arms.

Continue in the direction of our former sports field. Shortly before it, turn left onto the meadow path and follow it further to the right, along an avenue of trees to Schwendterdörfl.

The district of Schwendt is a sunny spot, situated just outside of Going. There, amidst the rustic farms, you are very close to the Wilder Kaiser. A perfect location for a holiday photo. Follow the Schwendterweg downhill for a bit and then turn left into the Thurnbichlweg until you reach the village of the same name.

Once there, surrounded by traditional and modern houses full of flowers and plants, you then take the first turn towards Going and follow the Thurnbichlweg downhill. From here you have a wonderful view of the Hollenauer Kreuz inn with its lookout point. If you look very closely, you can even see the flag.

Follow the path further downhill until you come to another junction.
Here you turn left onto the Pramaweg until the next junction, which leads you right back to Going.

After the underpass, walk along the village street, accompanied by the scent of the Goinger village bakery. After the chapel of the Dorfwirt (17th century), walk left after the bridge to the Going church square, which is also one of the main filming locations for the series ‘Der Bergdoktor’. Then follow the Lanzenweg downhill a little way to the starting point.
