Mountain hikes Verwallrunde

Description

Multi-day hut hike. Sure-footedness required. Head to the Konstanzer Hütte. From here, follow the signage in the direction of the Darmstädter Hütte (AV 514). After 1000 metres in altitude, the trail heads through steep alpine meadows over the Kuchenjöchli to the Darmstädter Hütte. From here,  it continues in the direction of
Niederelbehütte (Advokatenweg) over the Schneidjöchli, and further on the Hoppe-Seyler-Weg (AV 502) to the Kieler Wetterhütte. Next, the trail goes down steeply through the Obere Fatlarscharte and later over alpine pastures down to the Niederelbehütte.Next, foll ow the Kieler Weg (AV 512) over spectacular alpine terrain
in the direction of Edmund- Graf-Hütte, until you make the steep climb up to the Schmalzgrubenscharte.
The trail goes over large stones and passes the Schmalzgrubensee over the Rifflerweg to the Edmund-Graf-Hütte (stamp checkpoint, 2408 m). From here, the trail heads down steeply over alpine pasture to the
Malfonalpe and on to the Malfonbach along Pettneu.
