Description

The starting point for this hike is the railway station in Brixen im Thale in the direction of the Brixenbachalm.
First we walk along the Brixenbach stream on the tarmac road to the Reiterbrücke bridge. Between the garage and the bridge we follow the hiking trail, also known as the Way of the Cross, to the Brixenbachalm and on to the Wiegalm. From there, turn left along the hiking trail to the summit of the Gaisberg. This is where the impressive ridge hike over the Gaisberg begins. The descent is at the end of the ridge to the Bärstättalm (from here you can also take the hiking trail towards Kirchberg to the Gaisberg lift) and back to the Kobingerhütte, Harlaßangerkapelle and Wiegalm back to the starting point.
