Mountain hikes Tux-Vorderlanersbach - Geiselhöfe - Geiseljoch

Description

Tux-Vorderlanersbach village center: At the valley station of the Rastkogel cable car, the footpath turns uphill through the forest to the hamlet of Gemais (old farm settlement) - signposted Nasse Tuxalm/Hippoldspitze. Follow the asphalt access road for a bit until footpath no. 21 crosses the road and leads between the chalets Alpenjuwel (no. 242) and Haus Sonnrain (no. 241) to the Rosenkranz chapel. Afterwards, the AV trail no. 321 leads through the Pfisterwald and over the Voglaue into the AV trail no. 315 to the Geiselhöfe (Geislerhof mountain inn). The asphalt road runs downhill from the Geislerhof and then over the bridge again in a few hairpin bends to the Geiselalm. Follow the wide, gravelled alpine path no. 47 to the Hobalm. Climb to the right through alpine pastures until you reach the junction with trail nos. 47 and 49 to the Geiseljoch.
