Corals in the mountains? After all, the mountains were formed from the sea. And because you are immersed in prehistoric times on this exciting trail, you will also encounter mighty dinosaurs!
As beautifully paved as if dinosaurs had stomped on it: the four-kilometre Triassic Trail Waidring is well developed and also ideal for baby carriages up to the first reservoir pond where the water dinosaur lives. A stroller is recommended for the rest of the way to the summit of the Steinplatte. The trail leads back below the "Plattenkogel" to the "Rote Wand" and to the starting point "Triassic Park".
The Triassic Trail starts at the Triassic Park. Follow the way to the viewing platform, where you can admire the wonderful panoramic view. You walk on to the artificial lake "Speichersee Plattenkogel", where recently a "real" Ichthyosaur is hanging around. Along the Triassic Trail you walk up to the peak of Steinplatte. The way back leads you underneath the "Plattenkogel" to the "Rote Wand" and back to the Triassic Park
TIP: up to the Plattenkogel reservoir, the circuit is also accessible with a pushchair. In the area of the Triassic Park the paths are finely gravelled. On the way to the reservoir there is some coarser gravel.
