Mountain hikes To the Alpengasthof Ruetzen

Description

The starting point for this hike is the tourist information office in Brixen im Thale. We walk along the village road towards Kirchberg, turn left at the Hirzinger bakery and walk uphill past the Alpenhof Hotel and the Kegelbahnstüberl until we reach the Waldegg house, where we turn left and at the second meadow path turn right onto the Lindenweg. Cross the bridge and follow the forest path (keeping slightly to the right). After a short flat section, the trail goes downhill again to an asphalt road, after a few metres there is another road, which we follow uphill until (at Reiterbauer) a path (signposted) leads us to the Seebachgraben, where we turn left and hike uphill again. After about half an hour, the path leads us downhill again to the Gasthof Ruetzen.  After a visit to the farm inn, we continue on the asphalt road back to Kirchberg to the hamlet of Spertendorf, where we then take the bus back to Brixen.
