Difficulty ratings: medium
Route length: 12 km
Duration: 4:30 h

The valleys that cut into the Karwendel are beautiful, but also long. You can see this for yourself on a hike to the Hallerangerhaus, which is located in the heart of the Karwendel Nature Park, at the foot of the limestone giants Speckkarspitze and Lafatscher.

Tour character

This combined bike and hiking tour is ideal for enduring mountain sports enthusiasts who want to experience the Karwendel intensively. First you cycle along an easy forest road through the idyllic Hinterautal valley to the Kastenalm. From here, the more challenging part begins on foot: a steep ascent leads past the Lafatscher Niederleger to the open alpine pastures of the Halleranger. Here you can choose between the Hallerangerhaus and the Hallerangeralm as your destination - both offer impressive views of the Karwendel peaks.
